Welcome to Melbourne Grove Medical Practice

We hope that you find our clinical care convenient and helpful. Melbourne Grove is a Nurse Practitioner led surgery. This means that in the majority of cases your first port of call will be with a Nurse Practitioner. Myself and the team of doctors are immediately available should our nursing colleagues require it. We work like this because it makes clinical care far quicker and more accessible to you, and ensures that all our patients receive a timely and thorough service.

I do hope you make the most of the range of clinical services available to you. We provide telephone consulting and face to face appointments usually within 24 hours of them being requested.

We closely involve our patients in how we run the service. Our Patient Participation Group has direct access to management and clinicians. Together, we are very proud of the service we have developed.

Nurse led surgery

Our team of nurse practitioners are the first point of contact for the public when presenting illnesses of any type. Nurse practitioners are distinctly different to practice nurses. They are trained at degree level to diagnose, prescribe, and refer patients to secondary and other care. Easy Access to care

If you feel unwell, we provide telephone consultations and 'same day' appointments - so you can choose whichever method of consultation is more convenient to you.

If you are arranging a follow up appointment or routine appointment with the practice nurse of healthcare assistant, this will be managed directly by reception.

We listen to you!

Our Patient Participation Group is chaired by patients Dora Dixon-Fyle and Martin Saunders. We take a shared view of the practice and agree together what service changes we should make.
